{ about }

I am 36 years old and married to the man who I have been with since I was 17.  We have a cheeky little 4 year boy.

My day job is in a large teaching Hospital in London, where I am a Transfusion Specialist.  I went up in the world, before blood I was a poo tester!

I only started sewing about 4.5 years ago, having not touched a sewing machine since making a lips cushion when I was 13 at school.  My first sewing project was a Mei tai baby carrier, seriously, why couldn't I have stuck with a Morsbag like normal people.

I started quilting around 3 years ago, when I took a 6 week starter class.

  1. Lips cushion! That is hilarious. My project at the same age was a skateboard cushion - I only recently read it its last rites.

  3. Hi, I've only just found your blog (whilst on the hunt for some English 'sewing/quilting' blogs), you've made some wonderful stuff.

    I'm also taking Rachel's Hand stitching class, your star blossom is lovely - the Summersville looks great - I'm still on the embroidery, boooo!!
    Great blog

  5. Oh my goodness, I seriously love everything you have made! Of course you know I'm diggin' the rainbows but your bags are fab too. I've never made any kind of bag other than pouches. I have the weekender pattern and I'm wondering if thats aiming too high for a bag novice. Anyhow, just wanted to stop by and say hello and also thank you for your kind words on my work.
