Foxglove Showcase.....

I have just returned from a glorious sun shiny week in Ireland in time for my day on the Foxglove Showcase......

Foxglove is Aneela Hoey's latest collection for Cloud 9 fabrics, featuring a group of 12 prints on quilting cotton, inspired by the English countryside and designed with quilt making in mind. The collection features foxes and florals including foxgloves, primroses and cowslips....

I was delighted to be asked to participate in the showcase and managed to restrain my urge to make flying geese to make sure I showed off the gorgeous prints in all their glory.  As I seem top be slightly obsessed with bag making (again), I decided to make myself a new travel set.

First up was a Strap clutch by Michelle Patterns, mixing the Foxgloves in Navy print with some Essex yarn dyed linen in Steel.......

I used the Fox in the Foxgloves in Turquoise for the lining...

Using the Foxglove in orange print, I made a new Ipad mini case using the E-clutch pattern by Schoolhouse patterns....

My final make was a new Kindle case, which I completely winged without a pattern as it is a very straightforward pouch....

I mixed the gorgeous Evening Primrose in grey print with Essex yarn dyed linen and Cowslips in grey for the lining of the pouch and pocket...

I was definitely travelling in style with all these pretties, although I am now missing the strap clutch,  which fell victim to the charms of my Mother...

During the showcase, Aneela will be sharing details about the inspiration behind Foxglove on her blog, Comfort Stitching Aneela is also linking up each day to a host of fantastic makers who will be showing off what they made with this gorgeous collection.
