Blogger's Quilt Festival Spring 2012

Being a new blogger this is my first time joining in with the Bloggers' quilt festival  hosted by Amy's creative side and I have an oldie but goody quilt to share.

I made this quilt in January 2011, it was my first dip into the 'Modern' style of quilting, the first time I branched out in my own direction rather than following the same pattern in different fabrics.

The first time I tried spray basting, the first time I did the wonky wavy line quilting...

This quilt was the start of an obsession with fabric and quilting, that despite the doubts of family and friends (I am not known for my long attention span!), has just got stronger and more expensive!

I mostly love this quilt because it was the first one I made to give as a baby present and it went to the prettiest little angel of them all...

It is predictably rainbow and very me :)

I am now off to check out the amazing array of quilts at the festival!
